How does the Navway work?

The Navway Street Navigator uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to determine it’s current position relative to a set of earth-orbiting satellites. By locking onto at least 3 satellites at the same time, the Navway is able to work out your position. The positioning data is applied to a database of maps to display the car’s location.

The GPS information is then matched to the NAVTEQ on board maps and your location is plotted and displayed on the Navway.

The receiver can work in any weather, anywhere on the globe, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no need to be concerned about your privacy as the Navway Professional Street Navigator cannot be used to track you.
